About Lublu- she hails from India, where as a young girl her beloved grandmothers and aunts inspired her love for cooking. She attended the Food Craft Institute for pastry as well as culinary programs, until she came to the United States to start a family and fulfill her passion for baking and cooking in the mid 90’s.
She enrolled herself into the Institute of Culinary Education’s Pastry Certificate Program, to complement her years of experience at esteemed restaurants such as Marichu, Spina, and the Quilted Giraffe Club. During this time, she also began working closely as a consultant with businesses to craft their menus and enrich their food, sharing her expertise and highly coveted recipes that were passed onto her by her grandmothers. She was a chef consultant for Lassi Restaurant, which went on to amass a cultural following amongst foodies in the West Village in NYC (https://www.nytimes.com/2005/02/23/style/dining/food-stuff-indian-fare-from-a-tiny-space.html.) She then moved on to become the lead sugar artist at Heavenly Crumbs Bakery, throughout the decade following she honed her cake artistry and pastry skills at bakeries and restaurants alike, even managing to successfully run her own initial business Cake Gallerie from her modest kitchen at the time.
In 2009, she entered into the catering industry to great avail, working as a freelance chef for many prestigious catering companies in New York City. She went onto assist as Sous Chef and kitchen manager at Betty Brooklyn Catering Co. and subsequently at Michael Stewart and Fancy Girl Table Catering. She has also worked as an event chef at the esteemed CxRA catering in Woodside, NY. Throughout her career, she has maintained an elite standard of ethics and quality at each and every turn, fostering her dream to one day officially own and operate her own bakery business, and so dreams do come true. In 2021, she officially started Lublu LLC. as the fulfillment, now offering her cakes directly to clients.
